

Dr. Seroussi is a board-certified physiatrist specializing in all aspects of physical rehabilitation, with an emphasis on musculoskeletal and neurologic injuries.
He is on the clinical faculty at the University of Washington, and is board-certified in PM&R, pain medicine, and electrodiagnosis. Dr. Seroussi has a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Princeton University, his MD from Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, and his residency in rehab medicine from the University of Washington. Some of his more satisfying work activities include interacting with patients, supervising residents from the University of Washington, and improving the work flow in our clinic in the name of better patient care.
Outside of work he enjoys time with his family and friends. His recreational interests include skiing, cycling, and hiking activities.

Dr. Franke, a dedicated physiatrist, places a strong emphasis on the interconnectedness of the body, emotions, and mind in his approach to patient care. His thorough diagnostic process leads to various clinical approaches including, but not limited to, interventional pain management, electrodiagnosis, and Osteopathic manipulative treatment.
Dr. Franke earned his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. He pursued his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.
Additionally Dr. Franke is a Diplomate in Electrodiagnostic Medicine certified by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and a Chief Teaching Fellow in Osteopathic Neuromuscular Medicine.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Franke enjoys photography and tinkering on old cameras, reading, hiking, and spending time with his sons.

Laura specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Her focus is on treating the body as a whole in order to improve patients’ quality of life and help them get back to their regular daily activities.
Throughout her health care career she has worked extensively with underserved populations to decrease disparity in health care. She is passionate about learning from patients with different backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs in order to provide them with exceptional individually tailored medical care.
Laura received her medical education at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Laura’s personal interests include sailing, hiking, rock climbing, and traveling to learn about other cultures.

Stephanie Abutin is a skilled speech-language pathologist with extensive experience supporting individuals with communication and cognitive challenges resulting from brain injuries. Her clinical focus includes evaluating and treating speech, language, and cognitive-communication impairments, with a commitment to enhancing functional communication and improving her patients’ overall quality of life. Stephanie is particularly passionate about working with individuals recovering from traumatic brain injuries, tailoring her interventions to each patient’s unique needs and goals.
Stephanie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Western Washington University and her Master’s degree from Midwestern University – Glendale. She is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and has attained her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
In addition to her clinical work, Stephanie stays updated on the latest research and practices in brain injury rehabilitation, ensuring her patients benefit from evidence-based care. Her patient-centered approach fosters collaboration and empowers individuals on their journey toward recovery.
Outside of her professional life, Stephanie enjoys spending time with loved ones, drawing, painting, watching movies, listening to music, and traveling.

Dr. Swedberg is a contracted provider for Seattle Spine & Sports Medicine who specializes in trauma-informed psychotherapy. She collaborates with the care team at Seattle Spine & Sports Medicine to provide mental health counseling for patients recovering from injury accidents.
She integrates trauma-informed approaches such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Internal Family Systems therapy to gently work through the loss, post traumatic stress, and anxiety so common with injuries from motor vehicle accidents. In therapy, she first works on emotional safety and stability, and then supports patients as they gradually make meaning from their trauma.

Owner, Vestibular Therapy Specialist
Kaela Pauly graduated from Western Washington University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado in 2016. She also completed the Herdman Vestibular Competency Course in 2022, which is instructed by Duke University and considered to be the highest level of continuing education for vestibular-related conditions.
She has been specializing in the treatment of vestibular rehabilitation since 2016. Her passion for vestibular rehabilitation began early in her career during clinical rotations in outpatient neurological clinics. The diverse symptom presentation of vestibular conditions and the underrepresentation of vestibular care in physical therapy is what continues to drive her interest in this specialty. She participates in local dizzy support groups and UW/Swedish case studies. She also provides vestibular in-clinic services for providers with the goal of increasing access to vestibular care in the community.
In addition, Kaela has extensive training in Postural Restoration Institute techniques and movement/gait analysis to help optimize musculoskeletal functioning and breathing mechanics. Combining her orthopedic and vestibular skills allows her to treat a wide variety of balance and dizziness disorders such as cervicogenic dizziness, postural abnormalities or instability, TBIs, and concussions.
She is committed to providing high quality care to her patients, with individualized and evidence-based treatment plans, and became the co-owner of Vestibular Therapy Specialists with Dr. Morgan Kriz in 2021.
Kaela was raised in the pacific northwest and loves the outdoors. In her spare time, she enjoys activities such as hiking, skiing, and stand-up paddle boarding, as well as spending quality time with friends, family & her two dogs.

Owner, Vestibular Therapy Specialist
Morgan Kriz has been enjoying the practice of physical therapy since graduating from University of St. Augustine for Health Science Doctorate of Physical Therapy program in 2012. She spent several years living in both San Diego, CA and Seattle, WA working with many of the best providers specializing in the management of individuals with dizziness and imbalance. She has extensive experience with several aspects of vestibular rehabilitation and has fostered many relationships with other specialists devoted to understanding more about best management practices of vestibular conditions.
She founded Vestibular Therapy Specialists in 2017 with the vision to offer quality vestibular therapy and give patient’s the attention and care they deserve. She understands the physiological and psychological impact vertigo and imbalance can have on individuals and strives to empower her patients with the knowledge and techniques to manage their conditions. In 2021 Dr. Kriz partnered with long-time colleague Dr. Kaela Pauly to expand the practice and continue to offer high quality vestibular rehabilitation in both Seattle, WA and now in Bend, OR. Dr. Kriz now resides in Bend, OR with her family. When she is not working you will find her mountain biking, swimming, skiing and doing crafts and LEGOS at home.

Ruth Tice graduated from Saginaw Valley State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. She continued her education at University of Michigan where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree in 2019. She has a certification through the Institute of Clinical Excellence to provide a fitness forward approach for treatment at every age and stage of a patient's journey.
She has specialized in the treatment of vestibular disorders since 2020 in addition to providing orthopedic physical therapy. She continues to focus on vestibular specialization through completion of educational courses from experts and leaders in the vestibular field including Dr. Susan Herdman, Dr. Richard Clendaniel, Dr. Susan Whitney and others. Ruth feels called to provide vestibular specialty care as she understands how impactful it can be in restoring quality of life for her patients. She has a passion for evidence-based care and creates custom care plans to meet patient goals.
Ruth joined Vestibular Therapy Specialists after moving from Puyallup, WA to Seattle, WA in August of 2023. In her free time, she enjoys strength training, hiking, reading, music, bouldering, and spending time with her friends, family, and pets.


Angela Bennett is a dual board-certified Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Angela specializes in the assessment and management of traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and has a growing practice focused on physical medicine and rehabilitation. She works closely with Dr. Richard Seroussi and the multidisciplinary team at Brain Injury Medicine of Seattle and Seattle Spine & Sports Medicine. Her clinical interests include pain management, psychiatry, neurology, physiatry, and sports medicine.
She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus in Family Nurse Practice from the University of Memphis. She later completed her post-master’s certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Valdosta State University. Angela brings over 16 years of experience in the healthcare field.
Outside of work, Angela enjoys watching movies, reading, and traveling.
